Lawton is located in southwestern Oklahoma, approximately 80 miles southwest of Oklahoma City, and is the fourth largest city in the state. Lawton is home to Fort Sill, the site of several specialized U.S. military schools and one of five locations for Army Basic Combat Training.

As such, the area enjoys a strong communications infrastructure, and the Affinitas labor pool draws on very disciplined and focused military family members and retirees. Affinitas also recruits an educated labor force from nearby Cameron University.
